Atlantic Way Trip

The Burren National Park

Just a 20-minute drive from Kinvara, The Burren is one of Ireland’s most remarkable landscapes. This vast limestone region stretches across County Clare and is famous for its moon-like terrain, ancient stone walls, and hidden valleys. Walk among rare orchids, discover megalithic tombs and ring forts, or hike one of the marked trails that wind through this UNESCO Global Geopark. In spring and summer, wildflowers from the Arctic, Mediterranean, and Alpine regions bloom side by side — a natural wonder found nowhere else in the world.

Aillwee Cave & Birds of Prey Centre

Set high above Ballyvaughan, about 25 minutes from Kinvara, Aillwee Cave invites you deep underground through winding passages, stalactites, and waterfalls that formed over millions of years. After exploring the caves, enjoy a live falconry show where majestic eagles, hawks, and owls soar across the Burren sky — an unforgettable experience for all ages.

Cliffs of Moher

Just over an hour’s drive away, the Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland’s most iconic natural landmarks. Rising over 700 feet above the Atlantic, these dramatic sea cliffs offer breathtaking panoramic views stretching as far as the Aran Islands and Connemara. Stroll along the cliff-edge pathways, visit the interactive Visitor Centre, or simply stand and feel the power of the ocean below. Sunset here is truly magical.

Coole Park Nature Reserve

Located near Gort, only 15 minutes from Kinvara, Coole Park is a tranquil woodland once owned by Lady Gregory, co-founder of Dublin’s Abbey Theatre. Wander along leafy trails, visit the serene lake, and stop at the famous Autograph Tree, where literary legends like W.B. Yeats, George Bernard Shaw, and Seán O’Casey carved their initials. Coole Park perfectly blends natural beauty with Ireland’s cultural heritage.

Surfing & Kayaking Adventures

For those craving outdoor excitement, head west toward Fanore Beach or Lahinch. Both are ideal for surfing lessons, paddle boarding, and sea kayaking along the Atlantic coast. Fanore’s golden sands and clear waters make it perfect for a relaxed day by the sea, while Lahinch is a lively surf town with cafés, shops, and a welcoming local vibe.

Galway City

Galway City bursts with energy, charm, and Irish spirit. Known as the Cultural Heart of Ireland, Galway is a place of music-filled streets, colourful shopfronts, and friendly faces. Wander through the Latin Quarter, where cobblestone lanes are lined with boutique shops, galleries, and cafés. Stop for lunch at a cosy spot overlooking the River Corrib, or treat yourself to fresh seafood at one of Galway’s award-winning restaurants.
